New Paper: When Theory and Observation Collide: Can Non-Ionizing Radiation Cause Cancer?

New paper: When theory and observation collide: Can non-ionizing radiation cause cancer?

The Missing Link:
Why your government isn’t protecting you from Wi–Fi and cell phone radiation when
research shows this radiation causes cancer.

The American scientific journal Environmental Pollution reports, in its next issue, that
government safety guidelines for microwave radiation emitted by mobile phones, Wi-Fi, smart
meters, and other common wireless devices, are fundamentally flawed and fail to protect the
public from this possible carcinogen.

Increasing scientific evidence shows wireless radiation causes cancer and infertility and other
health effects, but due to a flawed assumption in safety guidelines, governments in the United
States, Canada, and the UK are allowing their citizens to be overexposed to microwave
radiation from wireless technology.

New York: Is the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree a Cell Tower ?

"Have no fear if you do get up close and personal with it. That loud mechanical humming noise is nothing to worry about. That’s merely the tower doing its job, boosting cell-phone signals from as far away as New Jersey and as near as other, closer parts of New Jersey."  [This takes all the sacredness out of Christmas!]

This Year's Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Is So Beautiful You Can Barely Tell It's a Cell Tower
by Keaton Patti , New Yorker, 29 November 2016

The 2016 holiday season marks the eighty-fourth year that New York City’s Rockefeller Center will feature a beautiful, towering Christmas tree. It also marks the first year that the Christmas tree isn’t simply a piece of wooden eye candy. This tree is more than just a tree—so much more that it isn’t even a tree. It’s a cleverly disguised cell tower.

In 2014, Belgium Banned Mobile Phones and Mobile Phone Advertising for Children

The sale of this type of mobile phone
for children under age 7 is banned
in Belgium.
Mobile Phones and Children
health.belgium.be, 12 January 2016

The use of the mobile phone by children is a special point of attention. Children may be more sensitive to radio waves. Children absorb twice as much radiation in the brain than adults do, and 10 times more in the bone marrow of the skull. In addition, due to the popularity of the mobile phone, the cumulative exposure of the current generation of children will be much higher by the time they reach their adulthood than that of the current adults. Therefore, caution is called for.

For this reason, from the 1st of March 2014 no mobile phone which has been designed specifically for small children, may be brought on to the Belgian market. It concerns adapted mobile phones, meant for kids under 7 years of age, e.g. with only a few keys, with a form attractive to children.

Toxic Fumes on Board: Swiss Warns Its Staff

Toxic fumes on board: Swiss warns its staff
by Andreas Maurer, Schweiz am Sonntag,
26 November 2016 (translated by Google with grammatical corrections)

Andreas Maurer is an editor at "Schweiz am Sonntag".

An investigative report shows how contaminated air enters the cockpit.

In the cockpit and in the cabin of the Airbus A330 of Swiss the smell of hydraulic oil spread five minutes after take-off in Zurich. The 34-year-old pilot experienced headaches and put on the oxygen mask...  The pilot made the right decision, says the Swiss safety investigation authority (SUST). It has published its report on the "serious incident" of 26 November 2015 this week. The hydraulic oil from the manufacturer Exxon, which got into the air, was a potential hazard. The passengers and crew were exposed to the toxic vapors for another hour. The fully-fueled aircraft was too heavy for a landing. Therefore, it circulated an hour in the waiting queue to burn kerosene. Several passengers and flight attendants suffered nausea and headaches. A stewardess suffered disturbances of taste and smell the following day.

Gardasil, considered the most dangerous vaccine on the market, may soon be pushed for infants

by Vicki Batts, naturalnews.com,
23 November 2016

(NaturalNews) Gardasil has been the subject of controversy for many years now. In fact, it has even been regarded as one of the most dangerous vaccines on the market today. Perhaps what is most alarming about this treacherous vaccine, however, is the fact that its manufacturer, Merck & Co, now wants to begin marketing their product to infants – and trials on babies have already begun. Merck recently launched a Gardasil vaccine trial on children at least one year old, and it's set to conclude in early 2017.

You read that right. A pharmaceutical giant is testing a vaccine for an STD on babies. It doesn't really get more corrupt and outrageous than that, now does it?

Professor Dominique Belpomme: "Electrosensitivity is Not a Psychiatric Illness"

Prof. Belpomme:  "Electrosensitivity is not a psychiatric illness"
by Sylvie Dellus, santemagazine.fr, 11 January 2016 (translated by the Editor of "Towards Better Health")

A battery of tests is sufficient to diagnose hypersensitivity to electromagnetic waves.  The results of a study led by Prof. Belpomme have just been published in a scientific revue.  He answers our questions.

For several years, Prof. Dominique Belpomme, oncologist, has been interested in the phenomenon of intolerance to electromagnetic waves (from cell phones, Wi-Fi...) and sensitivity to multiple chemical products, two syndromes which have many points in common.

In his latest study, results were just published in "Reviews on Environmental Health", he highlights anomalies in the blood and urine.  The diagnosis is based on a battery of tests.  Treatment can be proposed.  Prof. Belpomme explains.

Summary of French TV Program "C à vous" : Interview with Professor Dominique Belpomme

We have had a request for a transcript of the interview with Professor Dominique Belpomme during the French TV program, "C à vous" which aired on 6 April 2016 on the theme "Taking better care of ourselves".  The entire program is not available to us in Switzerland, however, we have access to a 10-minute segment which includes the interview with Prof. Belpomme. (View segment in French.)  Following is a summary of this segment by the Editor of "Towards Better Health".

Anne Sophie Lapix, presenter of the program, refers to Prof. Belpomme's newest book, "Comment naissent les maladies" [how do diseases arise?] where he says 70-90% of cancers are linked to the environment.

Prof. Belpomme replies that especially now, there is molecular proof.   He refers to "epigenetics": the study of changes in organisms caused by modification of gene expression. Radiation, chemical substances, microbes modify proteins in the cell and gene expression which explains why cancers in particular are linked to the environment.

Controversial Paper Suggests Wi-Fi Exposure More Dangerous To Kids Than Previously Thought
by Robert J. Szczerba, Contributer, Forbes, 13 January 2015

Exploring the future of science and tech

Opinions expressed by Forbes Contributors are their own.

Most parents would be concerned if their children had significant exposure to lead, chloroform, gasoline fumes, or the pesticide DDT. The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IRIC), part of the United Nations’ World Health Organization (WHO), classifies these and more than 250 other agents as Class 2B Carcinogens – possibly carcinogenic to humans. Another entry on that same list is radiofrequency electromagnetic fields (RF/EMF). The main sources of RF/EMF are radios, televisions, microwave ovens, cell phones, and Wi-Fi devices.

Uh-oh. Not another diatribe about the dangers of our modern communication systems? Obviously, these devices and the resulting fields are extremely (and increasingly) common in modern society. Even if we want to, we can’t eliminate our exposure, or our children’s, to RF/EMF. But, we may need to limit that exposure, when possible.

A Physician's Testimony of His Electrohypersensitivity

"In Colombia, not a single medical doctor is trained in any of the universities to treat this problem [microwave syndrome]. It’s simply not taught anywhere in pre-graduate or graduate programs in medical schools around the country. Plus, being a medical doctor, I know of the IGNORANCE and DOGMATISM of the medical profession."

The Dr. Carlos Sosa M.D. Story

electrosensitivesociety.com, (date unknown)

Please let me introduce myself. My name is Dr. Carlos Sosa, M.D. (physician and surgeon) and I’m presently living in Medellin, Colombia in South America.

During the month of May 2006, I was forced to leave my house because of the symptoms caused to me and my family by the microwaves of a wireless Internet (WiFi) mast (or antenna). The structure had been in our building for nearly three years and the company that owned it had been slowly raising the transmission frequency.

In May/06 I started feeling a terrible sense of unwellness: headaches, dizziness, insomnia, nausea, irritability, amnesia or forgetfulness and lack of attention or concentration capacity. I couldn’t bear being close to my house or to any other microwave mast, be it cell phone or WiFi antennas. I had to leave my house together with my whole family just to find out that the city was flooded by some 4000 masts that wouldn’t ‘t leave a single irradiated spot for us to live in.

Health Hazards to Consider When Deciding Where to Place Cell Towers

Glasser: Health hazards to consider when deciding where to place cell towers
by Howard Glasser, lakeconews.com,
30 October 2016

Over the years, a great deal of information and medical data has been collected on the proliferation of cell towers and the associated risk they pose in health hazards, in particular, the overwhelming amount of evidence that living near a cell tower can cause and greatly increases the likelihood of cancer, including prostate, breast, lung, kidney and liver cancer caused by the exposure to the electromagnetic fields emitted by these towers.

Humans are exposed to more than 100 million times the amount of electromagnetic radiation than our grandparents were which is attributed to the rise of cancer related deaths. Additionally cell phone tower electromagnetic radiation is linked to the development and acceleration of cardiovascular disease, neurological disorders and numerous other health compromising consequences.

Use of mobile devices before sleep provides stimulating material as brain trying to wind down

Bedtime use of cellphones or tablets by children — even just having access to them — is consistently linked to excessive daytime sleepiness and poor sleep, researchers say.

They called on teachers, health care professionals, parents and children to be educated about the damaging influence of device use on sleep.

The portable media devices have entered the bedroom, giving children unprecedented access to technology and media before researchers have had a chance to explore the positive and negative impacts.

To explore whether there's an association between use of, or access to, media devices and sleep quantity and quality, researchers reviewed 20 sleep studies involving 125,198 children aged six to 19.

In Monday's issue of JAMA Pediatrics, the reviewers concluded there's strong and consistent evidence of an association between access to or use of devices and reduced sleep quantity (defined as less than 10 hours for children and less than nine hours for adolescents) or quality, as well as increased daytime sleepiness.

We get an update from Wayne Wilansky, the father of 21-year-old activist Sophia Wilansky, who was injured during the standoff at Standing Rock in North Dakota. Sophia has been undergoing a series of surgeries after reportedly being hit by a concussion grenade during the police attack against water protectors protesting the Dakota Access pipeline in North Dakota Sunday night. The Standing Rock Medic & Healer Council says 300 people were hurt in the attack, with injuries including hypothermia from being sprayed by water cannons in subfreezing temperatures, seizures, loss of consciousness, and impaired vision as a result of being shot by a rubber bullet in the face. "President Obama has to step in there and stop this," says Wayne Wilansky. "They’re drilling now, even though they don’t have a permit."

Violence against environmental defenders – New UN major report urges zero-tolerance

United Nations Human Rights - Office of the High Commissioner, 21 October 2016

NEW YORK / GENEVA (21 October 2016) – Environmental human rights defenders are critical to our future but they face unprecedented risks, according to a new report* to the United Nations General Assembly by the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights defenders, Michel Forst.

“I am extremely worried and appalled by the growing number of attacks and murders of environmental defenders, but also by the continuous resistance of States to act in front of egregious human rights violations,” Mr. Forst said.

“It is the responsibility of States and international community to empower and protect these defenders. We should listen to those who raise the alarm against environmental disasters, climate change and irresponsible resource exploitation, not repress them,” he underscored.

Warning To Anyone With Teeth Fillings – Your Cell Phone May Be A Big Danger To Your Health

Most of us already know the dangers of mercury fillings, but recent studies are uncovering some concerning new findings regarding these fillings and electronics. What type of electronics? Your constantly used cell phone.

When you are talking on the phone, it is positioned near your jaw. The cell phone emits electromagnetic energy that goes through your cheek and jaw bone, drawn to the mercury fillings in your mouth. That electromagnetic energy then heats up your mercury fillings just enough to spur them to release mercury into your mouth. Because you’re busy breathing and not thinking about the mercury vapors, you then inhale them and the poisonous vapors enter your bloodstream and permeate your body.

Communications firm Shared Access wants to place a 15-metre mast on top of a lighting column in Wembury Recreation Ground in Barton Close.

The company says the mast will bring 4G phone signal to the village, providing "exceptionally fast internet" to residents and businesses.

The NHS says radio waves from phone masts are unlikely to cause health problems – but neighbours are worried about the long-term effects.

Sophie Gibbons said: "It's a massive concern. It's so close to where all the children from the village go to school and nursery.

Criticism of the Wi-Fi Directives for Use in Schools in the Canton of Geneva

Criticism of the Wi-Fi directives for use in primary and secondary schools in the canton of Geneva
by Meris Michaels, 25 November 2016

Following is our criticism of the Wi-Fi directives for use in primary and secondary schools in the canton of Geneva, cited by the Geneva State Councillor in charge of education in reply to ARA's letter on digital technology in schools.  They are based on WHO and ICNIRP recommendations, acknowledge only thermal effects on health, and do not take into account the growing numbers of electrohypersensitive persons.  They are outdated and ignore the many independent scientific studies showing biological health effects.

The directives were issued in November 2010 and updated in June 2015. They cite WHO Fact Sheet no. 304 on EM fields and public health dated May 2006 - the link to the French version is invalid.  It concludes, "considering the very low exposure levels and research results collected to date, there is no convincing scientific evidence that the weak RF signals from base stations and wireless networks cause adverse health effects."

Lancet Study on Statins was 'Fundamentally Flawed' Critics Say

Lancet study on statins was 'fundamentally flawed' critics say
by Laura Donnelly, health editor, The Telegraph,
24 November 2016

A major Lancet study which backed the safety of statins was “fundamentally flawed” and underestimated the side-effects of the heart drugs, a group of medics have said.

The research published in September concluded that the drugs help prevent around 80,000 major cardiovascular events, such as heart attacks or strokes, every year.

Scientists said the drugs did far more harm than good, with too many patients had been put off taking them because of needless fears about side-effects.

It followed a long debate over the merits of the cholesterol-busting drugs, which are taken by 8 million Britons.

But today a group of doctors attacked the Lancet study.

CDC Scientists Expose Agency Corruption

CDC Scientists Expose Agency Corruption
by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., EcoWatch,
21 November 2016

Last month, The Hill published a letter sent by "more than a dozen" senior Center for Disease Control (CDC) scientists charging the agency with nursing an atmosphere of pervasive research fraud.

The group, which claimed to represent scientists across the CDC's diverse branches, calls itself SPIDER (Scientists Preserving Integrity, Diligence and Ethics in Research). The letter to CDC Chief of Staff, Carmen Villar, expressed alarm "about the current state of ethics at our agency." The scientists complained that "our mission is being influenced and shaped by outside parties and rogue interests" and "circumvented by some of our leaders."

The scientists told Villar that, "questionable and unethical practices, occurring at all levels and in all of our respective units, threaten to undermine our credibility and reputation as a trusted leader in public health." The letter charged that staff level scientists "are intimidated and pressed to do things they know are not right," and that, "Senior management officials at CDC are clearly aware and even condone these behaviors."

I Am Electrosensitive

This poignant testimony from an electrohypersensitive person, published in the popular French magazine, "Marie Claire" was missed by us.  We have translated it for all to read.

I am electrosensitive
by Véronique Houguet, marieclaire.fr,
July 2014

Wi-Fi, relay antennas, smartphones... Marie no longer can stand waves which make her sick. How can one live a life that is saturated with them?

Electrohypersensitivity: what is it?

To say the least, for the past 11 years, electromagnetic waves have been ruining my life. They are a slow poison to my health. And the poison is everyhwere: relay antennas, mobile phones, Wi-Fi, cordless phones, microwave ovens, and electricity. Pure hell.

To save myself, I am tinkering with ersatz solutions.

When the pressure in my head from the waves becomes too painful, I wrap my skull in aluminum foil from eyebrows to neck. This makes a screen against the waves which bounce off, and in ten minutes, the suffering has lessened. I do the same in the subway, which I take almost never because, after four stops, I feel my head squeezed while a drill incessantly perforates each ear, back and forth. The effect is similar with the mobile phone blockers at the movies: pain, like hitting my head against a wall. I always have a roll of aluminum foil in my handbag, but the look from other people is difficult to bear. I feel very ill at ease.

Independent tests on an array of popular American food products found many samples contained residue levels of the weed killer glyphosate. The nonprofit organizations behind the tests—Food Democracy Now and The Detox Project—released a report Monday that details the findings. The groups are calling for corporate and regulatory action to address consumer safety concerns.

According to the report, the herbicide residues were found in cookies, crackers, popular cold cereals and chips commonly consumed by children and adults. The testing was completed at Anresco, a U.S. Federal Drug Administration (FDA) registered lab and used liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS), a method widely considered by the scientific community and regulators as the most reliable for analyzing glyphosate residues.

Study offers new insight into how Alzheimer's disease begins
medicalexpress.com, 18 November 2016

A new study from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston offers important insight into how Alzheimer's disease begins within the brain. The researchers found a relationship between inflammation, a toxic protein and the onset of the disease. The study also identified a way that doctors can detect early signs of Alzheimer's by looking at the back of patients' eyes.

"Early detection of Alzheimer's warning signs would allow for early intervention and prevention of neurodegeneration before major brain cell loss and cognitive decline occurs," said lead author Ashley Nilson, a neuroscience graduate student. "Using the retina for detecting AD and other neurodegenerative diseases would be non-invasive, inexpensive and could become a part of a normal screening done at patient checkups."

Tohoku University, 9 November 2016

Researchers at Tohoku University have found a promising treatment for Alzheimer's disease, by noticing a similarity in the way insulin signaling works in the brain and in the pancreas of diabetic patients.

"In the pancreas, the Kir6.2 channel blockade increases the insulin signaling, and insulin signaling decreases the blood glucose levels," says Dr. Shigeki Moriguchi. "In the brain, insulin signaling increases the acquisition of memory through CaM kinase II activation by Kir6.2 channel blockade."

The research group, led by Dr. Moriguchi and Professor Kohji Fukunaga of the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, thus concluded that Alzheimer's disease can be described as a diabetic disorder of the brain.

A&E, cancer and maternity units to close in major NHS overhaul
The Guardian,18 November 2016

As detailed healthcare strategy plans emerge and opposition grows, local hospitals face the loss of thousands of beds

Thousands of hospital beds are set to disappear, pregnant women will face long trips to give birth and a string of A&E units will be downgraded or even closed altogether as part of controversial NHS plans to reorganise healthcare in England.

A Guardian analysis of the 24 NHS regional plans that have now been published – more than half the total of 44 – has found that health service chiefs plan to push through an unprecedented centralisation of key hospital services across England.

Opposition to the plans is growing among campaign groups, councillors and a growing number of MPs, including Conservatives, in areas where major changes are planned amid fears that patients will be unable to access urgent care quickly enough.

United States Comes in Last Again on Health, Compared to Other Countries

United States Comes in Last Again on Health, Compared to Other Countries

by Maggie Fox, NBC News,
16 November 2016

Americans are still struggling with their health, and rank last against citizens of 10 other wealthy countries when it comes to emotional distress, struggling to pay for care and skipping doctor visits, a new report finds.

The latest report from the Commonwealth Fund, which routinely points to the shortcomings of the U.S. healthcare system, shows not much has changed in 15 years or longer. Americans still pay far more for medical care than people in other rich Western nations but have little to show for all that spending.

The group surveyed 26,863 adults from Australia, Britain, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United States.

It found 43 percent of low-income Americans went without medical care because of costs. In the other countries, these rates ranged from 8 percent in Britain to 31 percent in Switzerland.

More than 97,000 California public school students have been diagnosed as autistic, a number that has risen seven-fold since 2001, according to the latest special education data from the California Department of Education.

The figure represent a jump of about 6,500, or 7 percent, from 2014-15 to 2015-16.

The increase was especially sharp among kindergartners, where autism cases grew by 17 percent last year. More than one of every 65 kindergartners in California public schools is classified as autistic.

When Tech Is a Problem Child
by Bruce Feiler, The New York Times, 19 November 2016

In the Broadway classic “The Music Man,” set in 1912, the con artist Harold Hill shows up in River City, Iowa, and attempts to persuade the otherwise contented townspeople that their youth are slipping into degradation. He singles out a billiard parlor, “the devil’s playground,” as the root.

“You got trouble,” he sings. “With a capital ‘T’ and that rhymes with ‘P’ and that stands for pool!”

These days, you don’t need goosed-up threats of nicotine stains and rebuckled knickerbockers to rouse the anxieties of parents. All you need is to broach the one subject that everyone views as Trouble.

By now, all parents know that technology poses at least some threat to children. Just last month, the American Academy of Pediatrics released a study that said while digital and social media can help early learning, they also come with a host of risks, including negative effects on sleep, attention and learning, along with higher incidence of obesity and depression. The group recommends that parents develop a Family Media Use Plan.

Autism in 2016: The Need for Answers

"A search was performed in PubMed (United States National Library of Medicine) about the environmental factors hypothetically involved in the non-syndromic autism spectrum disorder etiopathogenesis, including: air pollutants, pesticides and other endocrine-disrupting chemicals, electromagnetic pollution, vaccinations, and diet modifications."

Available online 9 November 2016 - Full text available.  See Abstract and extracts below.

Autism spectrum disorders are lifelong and often devastating conditions that severely affect social functioning and self-sufficiency. The etiopathogenesis is presumably multifactorial, resulting from a very complex interaction between genetic and environmental factors. The dramatic increase in autism spectrum disorder prevalence observed during the last decades has led to placing more emphasis on the role of environmental factors in the etiopathogenesis. The objective of this narrative biomedical review was to summarize and discuss the results of the most recent and relevant studies about the environmental factors hypothetically involved in autism spectrum disorder etiopathogenesis.

Pregnant women should use mobile phones for
emergency purposes only.
Health News from Geneva
by Meris Michaels, 20 November 2016, Updated 12 December 2016

On 8 December 2016, the State Council of the Swiss Parliament voted against the increase of limit values for mobile phone installations: 20 to 19 with 3 abstentions.  Actions were launched to encourage the Senators to oppose this motion through petitions (one with over 5,000 signatures) and letters from associations and individuals.  The senators from cantons Geneva and Vaud voted against the motion and some of them even replied to the messages from electrosensitive persons.  Two doctors' associations joined in awareness-raising:  Doctors for the Protection of the Environment and the Swiss Medical Association (FMH), comprising 40,000 physicians.  Diagnose-funk, an environmental and consumer protection organization regarding mobile technology, sent information to all the senators on how we are misinformed on this issue and requesting them to place health above the economy.

Professor Luc Montagnier participated in a conference on autism in Geneva on 11 November 2016.1   Serious concerns were raised by presenters and participants regarding the dangers of electromagnetic (EM) radiation. Prof. Montagnier emphasized the importance of raising awareness of the entire population of this health issue.  Pregnant women in particular should be protected.  Prof. Montagnier clearly stated that health should take precedence over the economy.

Insurance companies, which closely track auto accidents, are convinced that the increasing use of electronic devices while driving is the biggest cause of the rise in road fatalities, according to Robert Gordon, a senior vice president of the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America.  “This is a serious public safety concern for the nation,” he said.

Biggest Spike in Traffic Deaths in 50 Years? Blame Apps
by Neal E. Boudette, The New York Times,

The messaging app Snapchat allows motorists to post photos that record the speed of the vehicle. The navigation app Waze rewards drivers with points when they report traffic jams and accidents. Even the game Pokémon Go has drivers searching for virtual creatures on the nation’s highways.

When distracted driving entered the national consciousness a decade ago, the problem was mainly people who made calls or sent texts from their cellphones. The solution then was to introduce new technologies to keep drivers’ hands on the wheel. Innovations since then — car Wi-Fi and a host of new apps — have led to a boom in internet use in vehicles that safety experts say is contributing to a surge in highway deaths.

Experts Now Say Everyone Between 40 and 75 Should Probably Be Prescribed a Statin

(The statins prescribed in Europe.)
We know of several persons suffering from statin side effects.  One has had irreversible muscle weakness in her legs.  Another has had a number of symptoms described in various studies on statin side effects:  a rare eye disorder and breast cancer.  Doctors in French-speaking Switzerland continue to hand them out like candy.  Doctors who speak out about statin side effects are disparaged by the conventional medical milieu.

If You Are Over 40 Should You Be Taking A Statin?

Experts now say that everyone between 40 and 75 should probably be prescribed a statin. Are statin side effects a figment of the imagination as some insist?

The US Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) has just come out with recommendations that doctors consider a statin for anyone between 40 and 75. Whether or not the physician prescribes such a drug should depend, says the USPSTF, on whether patients have any cardiovascular risk factors that would put them at a 10 percent or higher chance of a heart attack over the next 10 years.

Report names national organizations taking soda company money

This article is a collaboration between MedPage Today® and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists
Some of the nation's leading health organizations, even those specifically dedicated to combating the obesity epidemic, have been found to accept "sweet deals" from Big Soda, according to a report in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine.

From 2011 to 2015, the Coca-Cola Company and PepsiCo sponsored programs at 96 national health organizations and lobbied against 29 public health bills proposed to reduce soda consumption or promote better nutrition, wrote Daniel Aaron, a medical student at Boston University, and Michael Siegel, MD, professor of community health sciences at the Boston University School of Public Health.

Microwaves in the Child's Bedroom

Even low-radiation baby monitors
prove to produce vast amounts of
EMF radiation.
Microwaves in the children’s bedroom

‘With the baby monitor, a helpful guardian enters the nursery. Unfortunately, some devices produce radiation exposure as is found in the vicinity of mobile phone radio towers.’

17 Baby monitors were purchased by the German Ökotest and their output of microwave (RF) radiation was tested. The results were summarised on the Ökotest website:

Baby Monitors – No waves of enthusiasm
Electrosmog from the baby monitor

‘Almost half of the devices are “deficient” or “inadequate”. This is mainly due to the use of DECT technology. DECT baby monitors work with pulsed high-frequency microwaves and this in most cases a transmission that doesn’t stop. Only with two DECT models which had a Eco-Mode function (the Audioline BabyCare 6 Eco Zero and the NUK Eco Control+ baby monitor, DECT 267 LCD) the continuous radiation can be switched off. Studies have shown that pulsed radiation can, among other things, alter cerebral currents and increase the risk of cancer. The four “very good” analogue devices prove that without DECT is much better.

Eco-Mode in Baby Monitors often ineffective

Mobile phone towers identified as a cause of type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus is one of the world’s rapidly increasing health crisis. Researchers in Saudi Arabia have just made a clear link between exposure to radiation from mobile phone towers and Diabetes Mellitus.

  • 415 million adults have diabetes, and according to the International Diabetes Federation, this will rise to 642 million people suffering from diabetes by 2040. This means the following:
  • Every 6 seconds someone dies from diabetes (5 million deaths)
  • 1 in 7 births is affected by gestational diabetes
  • 1 in 11 adults have diabetes (415 million people)
  • in 2040, 1 in 10 adults will have diabetes (642 million people)

University of California, San Diego, Literature Building Occupants Demand Relocation to Avoid Health Hazards

A cancer cluster, which took the life of Richard Farver, was noted at San Diego State University (SDSU), which is not the same university as the one concerned in this article.  It is troubling that here too - at the University of California San Diego (UCSD), a cancer cluster has been reported.  Note that in the recent WTHR report which mentions Richard Farver's intensive use of a mobile phone in relation to his fatal brain cancer, there is no reference to the nearby mobile phone tower or the cancer cluster at SDSU.

Graduate students from the Literature Department released a petition last week calling for the immediate relocation of the Literature Building’s occupants due to the uncommonly high number of cancer diagnoses among the facility’s faculty and graduate students.

Between 1991 and 2008, 16 occupants of the Literature Building were diagnosed with a form of cancer, nine of which were breast cancer cases. In response, UCSD conducted an in-depth review of the facility in 2008 and addressed potential hazard areas, particularly those involving electromagnetic fields and mold.

CDC Scientist Confirms Donald Trump is Right about Vaccines and Autism

CDC scientist confirms Donald Trump is right about vaccines and autism
by S. Johnson, naturalnews.com,
4 November 2015

(NaturalNews) Donald Trump is no stranger to controversy, including the vaccine debate. In a series of tweets and interviews over the past few years, the presidential candidate has stated that he strongly believes that there is a link between "monstrous" vaccines and autism. He has suggested that delivering vaccines in smaller doses over time could reduce autism rates among U.S. children. Despite being cast to the lunatic fringe by the mainstream media for his remarks, CDC scientist Dr. William Thompson has confirmed Trump's suspicions — namely, that the link between vaccines and autism is real.

National Grid to spend £460m burying new Lake District power lines
by Emily Gosden, energy editor, The Telegraph, 24 October 2016

National Grid has unveiled plans to spend £460m burying new power lines through the Lake District, in a U-turn that will cost seven times more than erecting pylons.

The utility giant had originally planned to build 160ft-tall pylons through a 14.5-mile stretch of the national park, as part of a 102-mile cabling project along the west coast of Cumbria to connect up NuGen's proposed new nuclear plant at Moorside.

But after fierce opposition from campaigners, who warned the pylons would devastate the scenery and could jeopardise the Lake District's bid for Unesco world heritage site status, National Grid on Monday proposed burying the cables under the park.

It said it could also remove the existing lower-voltage power lines that currently stand along the route, "leaving this part of the park free of pylons for the first time in 50 years".

Nine Chronic Diseases Caused by Pesticides

Nine chronic diseases caused by pesticides

Preface by Cathy Geibel TLB writer/reporter

Despite claims by Bio Tech companies, supported by those supposed government entities whose job is to protect us such as the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), that there is no link between pesticides and disease, evidence continues to mount to the contrary. The Pesticide Induced Disease Database is one such resource. Indeed, as a Registered Nurse for over 36 years I have literally witnessed the increase in the diseases mentioned in this article. I did not start out an activist, but after witnessing so many tyrannical acts inflicted on us by this global agenda of power and control via the 1% owned BioTech such as Monsanto, Syngenta, Dow, Dupont et al, Big Pharma, and Weather Modification and SEEING what it is doing to we humans how could I not? How could I stay silent and live with myself? I cannot, WE cannot. We MUST keep speaking out or risk succumbing. I work to salvage this planet for my children and future grandchildren. They are the innocents who will inherit the world we create. (CG)

Healthcare in 2030: Goodbye Hospital, Hello Home-Spital

[Everyone seems to be ignoring the increasing numbers of electrohypersensitive (EHS) persons who will not be able to tolerate this type of medicine using communications technology.   EHS persons cannot be treated in hospitals saturated with electromagnetic waves, nor visit doctors' offices because of Wi-Fi in waiting and examination rooms.]

"By 2030, the very nature of disease will be further disrupted by technology. So disrupted, in fact, that we might have a whole lot fewer diseases to manage." - [Not if half of us are sick from exposure to communications technology!!]

I Went On An 8-Week Smartphone Detox. Here's What I Learned
by Dr. William Cole, mindbodygreen.com,

Smartphones are, for many, like a drug. Eliciting compulsive, addictive behavior, smartphones are rewiring our brains, studies showdecreasing our memory and attention spans as well increasing our anxiety. A staggering 81 percent of us have our smartphones within arm's reach nearly all the time. In fact, one in five young people admit to checking their screens every five minutes! In a very short period of time, we have found ourselves all plugged into the same drug.

The Secret Killer: Wireless Pollution Is Out of Control

The Secret Killer | Wireless Pollution Is Out Of Control
oye.news, 27 October 2016

Over the past 20 years, we have seen wireless technology develop very rapidly and it’s usage is now as commonplace as electricity and free running water. Most households now use wireless technology for their Laptops, Televisions, iPod’s, Games Consoles, Smart Meters, and even kitchen appliances are beginning to be launched with wireless technology as part of the ‘smart grid’.

Wifi hotspots are now in most cities and most schools use wireless technology now. So we are living in a sea of invisible frequencies and there is no negative effect on life, right?

Carsickness complaints: Family is 'miserable,' company aware of concerns
by Sarah Sell, WZZM, 14 November 2016

HOLLAND, MICH. - There's been no recall, but drivers of several large SUV's say their GM vehicles are making them sick.

The complaints have been acknowledged by the automaker -- a Holland-area family says there is no solution to the problem. That family contacted WZZM 13 On Your Side for help.

"I had vertigo, nausea, migraine, the whole way down, the whole way back from Florida…part of it would be a constant pressure on your ears… it's just miserable”, says Barb Francis.

It all started back in November 2014 when she and her husband paid just more $60,000 for a new 2015 Suburban at DeNooyer Chevrolet in Holland.

The Heartbreaking Rise of Suicide Among Young People

Blessed are the children for whom the unconditional love of parents – and of God – reign supreme.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently released statistics revealing that children ages 10 to 14 are now more likely to die from suicide than from traffic accidents. The New York Times called it an “unprecedented rise in suicide among children at such young ages.” In 2014, the CDC reports that 425 children in that age group committed suicide. And while more boys took their own lives than girls, the rate of increase for girls was sharply higher, tripling since its last report.

Just a couple of weeks ago Kathy Schiffer detailed the tragic suicide of 11-year-old Bethany Thompson in Ohio, who was bullied by classmates over her “crooked smile.”

Virtual Reality Headsets Concern Doctors

“The immediate concerns are with the younger users because they will be prone to use them for much longer periods of time,” explained Dr. Rizzo. Those concerns include what this might mean for a young, developing brains. “You need to understand whether the brain is changing in some permanent way.” There’s also a possible increased risk of becoming near-sighted.  [No mention of exposing the brain to electromagnetic radiation.]

Virtual Reality Headsets Concern Doctors

by Dr. Mallika Marshall, boston.cbslocal.com, 14 November 2016

BOSTON (CBS) – It’s expected to be the hot holiday gift of the season: virtual reality headsets. We know it’s a cool new experience but there’s still a lot we don’t know about the technology, especially when it comes to kids.

The headset completely immerses users in a new 3D virtual world. “I felt like I was actually there.” said one first-time user. “There’s no age limit to this,” said another virtual reality fan.

But there actually is an age limit. Many of the top selling brands warn against kids using the device. Oculus Rift and Samsung VR Gear say it’s not for kids under 13. Sony PlayStation is recommended for kids 12 and up. And the HTC Vive is less specific, just saying it’s not for young children.

Under-5s Glued to Screens for 4 Hours Each Day

The under-5s glued to screens for four hours each day: Fears 'very worrying' figures are showing that children are becoming online addicts
by Laura Lambert, TV and Radio Reporter for The Daily Mail, 16 November 2016

  • Pre-school children are online for an average of 71 minutes a day
  • Over half of three to four-year-olds use tablets, Ofcom figures reveal
  • Children aged five to 15 are glued to screens for five and a half hours a day

Pre-school children are spending more than four hours a day glued to screens.

They are online – using iPads and other devices – for an average of 71 minutes a day.

But – when gaming and watching television is included – their screen time rises to four hours and 11 minutes.

For children aged five to 15 the total was even higher: five hours and 33 minutes a day.

Parenting experts said the figures from broadcasting watchdog Ofcom showed children were becoming online addicts.

Mobile Link to Reduced Male Fertility: Study

Mobile link to reduced male fertility: study
by Sam Varghese, itwire.com, 16 November 2016

Scientists at the University of Newcastle have found that a majority of studies looking for possible negative effects of mobile phone use on the male reproductive system have indicated that there could be truth to such claims.

Twenty-one of 27 studies looked at by the researchers showed that mobile phone use was associated with reduced sperm motility. Seven out of seven that measured production of reactive oxygen species showed elevated levels.

And four of five studies that examined DNA damage showed increased damage due to exposure to the radiofrequency electromagnetic radiation (RF-EMR) emitted by mobile devices.

"In general, these data lend support to the notion that RF-EMR can significantly impair key aspects of sperm function including the motility and vitality of these cells and the integrity of their DNA," the scientists said in their 14-page article which has been published in Reproduction, the journal of the Society for Reproduction and Fertility. The report was published online in September and will be in print next month.
